Baseball Recap: Santana Takes a Loss

Santana lost against Del Norte back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sultans fell 7-4 to the Nighthawks. The Sultans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santana saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Eckis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Xander Bennett was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Santana's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Del Norte, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.

Coming up, Santana will square off against Montgomery at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Norte, they will venture away from home to square off against Mt. Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sundevils will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Nighthawks surely won't give up without a fight.
