Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springfield). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Whitmer Panthers on Thursday. Springfield have beaten Whitmer the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Whitmer has come to flipping the script.

Springfield's offense was hitting Whitmer from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kyle Mortus led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for six goals all by himself.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 10-0-1. As for Whitmer, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will face off against Napoleon at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Whitmer, they will square off against Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
