Smoky Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 92-60 victory over Swain County. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Maroon Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Avery County didn't have too much trouble with Ashe County on Wednesday as they won 75-60. That 15 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Avery County's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Smoky Mountain, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.

Smoky Mountain couldn't quite finish off Avery County when the teams last played back in November and fell 83-81. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Vikings' Hank Johnson, who went 10-for-14 on his way to 33 points and five rebounds.
