Basketball Recap: Miramar Skates Past Hallandale with Ease

There's no place like home for Miramar, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Hallandale Chargers, posting a 71-39 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

Miramar had a senior duo take command as Joshua Skinner dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards and Siah Blot went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Blot has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Germielle, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Miramar was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hallandale only posted six assists.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emerson Felicion, who put up 11 points. Walter Williams was another key player, putting up six points.

Miramar now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hallandale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Miramar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-42 victory against Dillard on the 12th. As for Hallandale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-46 defeat against McArthur on the 12th.
