Recap: Indiana Math & Science Academy North Knights vs. Purdue Poly Englewood

The Indiana Math & Science Academy North Knights's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They snuck past Purdue Poly Englewood with a 60-56 win. The win was just what Indiana Math & Science Academy North needed coming off of a 77-33 loss in their prior match.

Indiana Math & Science Academy North was led to victory by Kyven Smith and Jeremiah Oliver. Smith scored 15 points, while Oliver dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasaum Sowell, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Indiana Math & Science Academy North's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9. As for Purdue Poly Englewood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Indiana Math & Science Academy North will head out on the road to face off against Victory College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory College Prep is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Purdue Poly Englewood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lafayette Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
