There's no place like home for Manchester, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Fort Wayne Wayne Generals a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Squires, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Manchester got a great performance from Landen Bean as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Bean a new career-high.

At the plate, Dallas Martin was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Brendyn Mugford was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Manchester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Manchester's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Manchester will venture away from home to take on Peru at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, they will host Fort Wayne South Side at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Archers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight.
