Soccer Recap: Grand Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Grand Valley was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Colorado Rocky Mountain on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals came up short against the Summit Tigers on Thursday, falling 5-0. The shutout was out of character for Grand Valley seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Ethan Diaz, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Grand Valley squad sat out for Thursday's matchup. With Diaz sidelined, Khairi Nelson got his first action of the season.

Grand Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-3. As for Summit, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Grand Valley will take on Moffat County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Valley will need to watch out since Moffat County have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups. As for Summit, they will square off against Loveland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
