Soccer Game Preview: Reedy vs. Walnut Grove

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Reedy face off against Walnut Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Reedy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lebanon Trail a 2-0 shutout.

Layla Gonzales and Naia Rentschler scored both of Reedy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Walnut Grove came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for Walnut Grove, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Reedy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five contests. Walnut Grove's win bumped their record up to 19-1-1.
