Central won against Starr's Mill two weeks ago with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Lions beat the Harris County Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 49-7. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 37 points or more this season.

Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaylend Person out in front who rushed for 88 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Person has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonaz Walton, who gained 133 total yards and a touchdown.

Central's run defense was locked in: Harris County could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Nazeel Mitchell for the heroic effort on defense: he. Central didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged eight.

Central pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harris County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
