Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hearts Academy back in December of 2024, Konos Academy came back down to earth. The Konos Academy Condor came up short against the Strong Rock Christian Patriots on Tuesday, falling 61-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Condor in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Konos Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Neal, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points. Samuel Brezina was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Strong Rock Christian found their leader in freshman Todd Raleigh, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Brooks Bibby, who went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points.

Konos Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Strong Rock Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Konos Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-54 defeat against Trinity Christian School of Griffin on the 14th. Strong Rock Christian has also already played their next game, a 40-35 loss against Brookstone on the 9th.
