Basketball Recap: Dripping Springs Comes Up Short

Dripping Springs lost against Bowie back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dripping Springs Tigers were dealt a 63-32 defeat at the hands of the Bowie Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 718th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 105th).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bailey Rogers, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Rogers has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaela Luelling, who had seven points.

Dripping Springs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Bowie, they pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Dripping Springs has already played their next match, a 65-34 loss against Lake Travis on the 24th. As for Bowie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-33 defeat against Westlake on the 24th.
