Baseball Recap: West Monona Comes Up Short

West Monona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the South O'Brien Wolverines. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Spartans' highest-scoring contest to date.

West Monona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South O'Brien, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, West Monona will host IKM/Manning at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South O'Brien has already played their next game (against Harris-Lake Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
