Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Classical Academy lost against Eaton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reds.

Despite the loss, The Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Peterson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 18 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Peterson now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Flowers, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 12 points and six boards.

It was another big night for Courtney Steinkamp, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 35 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals for Eaton. Steinkamp's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 25 points. Another player making a difference was Saryiah Gaona, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points and three steals.

The Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Eaton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, The Classical Academy will take on Air Academy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Eaton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fossil Ridge at 5:00 p.m.
