Basketball Recap: Lindhurst Comes Up Short

Lindhurst played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 81-36 loss at the hands of the Woodland Christian Cardinals. The Blazers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-15.

Leading Woodland Christian to victory were Romello Bruhn and Tanner Thomas. Bruhn almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds, while Thomas shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards. Bruhn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 42 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malakai Baker, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 18 points.

Lindhurst has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Woodland Christian, their record is now 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lindhurst will face off against San Juan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lindhurst is facing San Juan at the right time seeing as San Juan is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Woodland Christian, they will take on Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.7 points per game this season.
