Volleyball Recap: Rio Rancho Rams vs. Santa Fe Demons
Rio Rancho and Santa Fe squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Rio Rancho had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Santa Fe Demons by a score of 3-2. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Demons 25-16 in the first set.
Rio Rancho started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 22-25, 25-11, 25-20, 15-11.
Despite the loss, Rio Rancho still got an impressive performance from Cienega Richards, who had 11 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Nevarez, who had nine digs and two aces.
Even though they lost, Rio Rancho was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Fe only served six.
