Gentry and Pea Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Pioneers will challenge the Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Gentry is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Shiloh Christian just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 15-1 to the Saints. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pioneers have suffered since March 11th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pea Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Gravette with a sharp 9-3 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Gentry's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Pea Ridge, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Gentry was able to grind out a solid victory over Pea Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
