Recap: Highland Rams vs. Olympus Titans
On Wednesday, the Highland Rams faced the Olympus Titans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Highland escaped with a win against Olympus by the margin of a single free throw, 69-68. Winning may never get old, but Highland sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Highland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Drisdom, who scored 25 points along with five assists. The match was Drisdom's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sefa Brown, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Highland has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Olympus, their loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2.
Highland will head out on the road to face off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brighton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Highland likes a good challenge. As for Olympus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
