Basketball Game Preview: Piqua Indians vs. Sidney Yellowjackets

The Piqua Indians will head out to challenge the Sidney Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Piqua has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Sidney will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Piqua lost to Butler at home by a 50-34 margin.

Meanwhile, Sidney's game on Tuesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 47-45 victory from a begrudging Yellowjackets squad. The 47-point effort marked their lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sidney pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Piqua, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Piqua lost to Sidney on the road by a decisive 55-41 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Piqua avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
