Football Recap: Loveland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Loveland and Mesa Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Loveland had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Grizzlies 54-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Wolves of the 57-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Loveland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jackson Gebhardt, who rushed for 61 yards and one TD, and also threw for 86 yards and one touchdown. Brady Peterson was in the mix too, providing Loveland with one score.

With the defeat, Loveland broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Mesa Ridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Loveland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mesa Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-16 loss against Palmer Ridge on the 14th.
