Softball Recap: North Posey Comes Up Short

North Posey fell victim to Tecumseh and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Braves, falling 7-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

North Posey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taryn Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Wilson's first of the season.

The defeat snapped North Posey's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. As for Tecumseh, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, North Posey is taking a road trip to face off against Evansville Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Tecumseh, they have already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Apollo on the 17th.
