Basketball Game Preview: Rockport-Fulton Pirates vs. Sinton Pirates

The Rockport-Fulton Pirates will square off against the Sinton Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Rockport-Fulton rang in the new year with a 64-56 victory over Tuloso-Midway.

Rockport-Fulton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian Kizer Jr led the charge by going 10 for 18 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. That's the most rebounds Kizer Jr has posted since back in November of 2024. Roman Cox was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Sinton came into Friday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Incarnate Word Academy by a score of 61-49 on Friday. That looming 61-49 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pirates yet this season.

Rockport-Fulton's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Sinton, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-16.
