Soccer Game Preview: Georgetown Day vs. Potomac School

Georgetown Day hasn't had much luck against Potomac School recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mighty Hoppers will challenge the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Georgetown Day is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Sidwell Friends, who was ranked fifth at the time (Georgetown Day was ranked first). The Mighty Hoppers' defense stepped up to hand the Quakers a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Georgetown Day.

Meanwhile, Potomac School hasn't lost a match since October 8th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They came out on top against St. Andrew's Episcopal by a score of 3-1. Potomac School haven't had any issues with St. Andrew's Episcopal recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Georgetown Day's record now sits at 11-2-3. As for Potomac School, their record is now 12-3-3.
