Volleyball Recap: Fairview's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fairview took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against East Lawrence, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Aggies narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Aggies as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Fairview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 15-5.

Fairview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East Lawrence, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Fairview will venture away from home to face off against Scottsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Lawrence, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Arab on the 2nd.
