Volleyball Recap: Lake Hamilton's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, Lake Hamilton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Benton Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Lake Hamilton ultimately came up short, they really made Benton work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25, 25-14.

Rylynn Poor was nothing short of spectacular for Benton: she had 17 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Poor has posted over her last six matches.

Lake Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Benton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lake Hamilton and Benton will both be playing White Hall the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
