The West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past Pensacola Catholic with a 45-41 win. For West Florida Baptist Academy, this counts as revenge for the 49-38 loss Pensacola Catholic walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Stewart Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Byrd, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
West Florida Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Pensacola Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Florida Baptist Academy will take on Jones Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pensacola Catholic, Pensacola Catholic and Pace will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pace is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
