Basketball Recap: North Decatur Finds Playoff Glory Versus Edinburgh

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Decatur walked away with it. They came out on top against the Edinburgh Lancers by a score of 49-36 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won four in a row.

North Decatur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Rennekamp, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 16 points. Rennekamp is becoming a predictor of North Decatur's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 4-2 (and 10-11 when he doesn't). Logan O'Dell was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

North Decatur now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Edinburgh, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-13.

Looking ahead, North Decatur will take on Liberty Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Liberty Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something North Decatur surely won't give up without a fight. Edinburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
