Wawasee can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Wawasee was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (55-48), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-17, 8-25, 15-13.

Zaiyla Shortill paced Wawasee's offense, picking up four kills. Shortill got some help from Hadley Allen and her ten assists. Allen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wawasee's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Wawasee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Whitko on the 20th. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Columbia City on the 20th.
