Volleyball Game Preview: Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons vs. Palma Chieftains

The Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons will challenge the Palma Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Crystal Springs Uplands is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against St. Francis as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Gryphons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13th (when they won 3-0).

Crystal Springs Uplands walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-21.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Palma, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past More 3-0 on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-11.

The win got Palma back to even at 12-12. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Everything went Crystal Springs Uplands' way against Palma when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Crystal Springs Uplands made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gryphons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
