Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Zion Braves vs. Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones + How To Watch

The Mt. Zion Braves will head out on the road to challenge the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Zion has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Mt. Zion was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Mattoon on Friday. The Braves simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greenwave 63-32. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sacred Heart-Griffin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 61-34 win over Decatur Eisenhower. The Cyclones not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 15th (when they won 59-12).

Mt. Zion's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Mt. Zion came up short against Sacred Heart-Griffin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 36-31. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
