Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only American Fork walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lehi Pioneers on Wednesday. The Cavemen haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Macy Melville paced American Fork's offense, picking up 14 kills. Melville got some help from Brynn Murray and her 16 assists. Murray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lehi lost, don't look at Elyse Wakumoto. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and two aces.

American Fork's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Lehi, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

American Fork has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Corner Canyon on the 29th. As for Lehi, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Layton on the 29th.
