Basketball Recap: Reese Pierce and Kloey Martinez Secure Win for Bridgeport

Bridgeport's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They secured a 41-35 W over the South Harrison Hawks.

Leading Bridgeport to victory were Kloey Martinez and Reese Pierce. Martinez posted eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals, while Pierce put up 11 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Pierce a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Pryor, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 14 points.

Bridgeport's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for South Harrison, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridgeport will square off against Philip Barbour at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Harrison, they will take on Ravenswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
