Volleyball Game Preview: Bob Jones Patriots vs. Hartselle Tigers

The Bob Jones Patriots will venture away from home to face off against the Hartselle Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Bob Jones is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: McGill-Toolen, who was ranked first at the time (Bob Jones was ranked ninth). The Patriots fell 2-0 to the Yellowjackets on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Hartselle waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Trojans 3-0.

While Hartselle won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Bob Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 35-13. As for Hartselle, their victory bumped their record up to 30-10.

Bob Jones beat Hartselle 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
