Basketball Recap: High Point Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Blue Ridge + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask High Point Academy). They put the hurt on the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers with a sharp 79-59 win on Tuesday. The Grizzlies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fighting Tigers, too.

High Point Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joc Miller, who went 9-for-16 on his way to 23 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was J'Sean Sanders, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 20 points and six rebounds.

High Point Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Several Fighting Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Hoover, who went 5-for-8 en route to 17 points. Ty'Korian Campbell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

High Point Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 80.3 points this season. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

High Point Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Broome at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. As for Blue Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 75-69 defeat against Chapman on the 3rd.
