Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Sean Kennedy and Damian Chisom Leads Air Academy over Liberty

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palmer Ridge, Air Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Liberty Lancers a 24-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Kadets in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won six in a row.

Cade Ballard was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 35 yards. Those 208 passing yards gave him a new career-high. 112 of Ballard's passing yards were hauled in by Noah Edwards.

Air Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sean Kennedy and Damian Chisom.

Air Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Liberty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
