The Washington Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the La Joya Community Lobos at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Washington and Sierra Linda had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Rams have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Troy Kenyon put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Jonathan Martinez Luna was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Kaleb Bralish was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Meanwhile, La Joya Community lost 12-5 to Browne on Monday.
Isaac Bejarano made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Washington's record now sits at 5-10. As for La Joya Community, their record is now 16-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Washington has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like La Joya Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Washington couldn't quite finish off La Joya Community in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 and fell 10-8. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
