Preview: Riverfield Country Day Ravens vs. Stonewall Longhorns
The Riverfield Country Day Ravens's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Stonewall Longhorns at 7:40 p.m. on February 15th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Saturday, Riverfield Country Day humbled Porum with a 66-37 victory. Given Riverfield Country Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Porum is ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverfield Country Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braeden Clinton, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Clinton hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Cameron Rutterford, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Stonewall at home against Strother on Saturday as the team secured a 64-29 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Stonewall.
Riverfield Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Stonewall, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
