Basketball Game Preview: Iroquois Raiders vs. Kentucky Country Day Bearcats

The Iroquois Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Kentucky Country Day Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Iroquois saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christian Educational Consortium.

Despite the defeat, Iroquois had strong showings from Fifi Munezero, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Ty'Aiona Clay-Toole, who posted 22 points. That was a full 59.5% of Iroquois' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Kentucky Country Day had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-27 win over the Bulldogs.

Iroquois dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Kentucky Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything went Iroquois' way against Kentucky Country Day in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as Iroquois made off with a 46-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Iroquois since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
