Liz Brown and Kaylee Heinen were among the main playmakers for Cornerstone Family as the former scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals and the latter scored 16 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. The contest was Heinen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lana Smittick, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds.
Smoky Valley Home Educators has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season. They took their match on the road last Monday with ease, bagging a 57-19 win over Newton HomeSchool. With Smoky Valley Home Educators ahead 31-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Cornerstone Family's win lifted them to 5-0 while Shawnee Mission Christian's defeat dropped them down to 1-3.
