Softball Recap: North Branch Gets the Win

North Branch took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Zimmerman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Thunder on Monday. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

North Branch's record now sits at 5-2. As for Zimmerman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Branch will square off against rival St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Zimmerman is set to challenge their familiar foe Chisago Lakes Area at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
