Recap: Seton Catholic Sentinels vs. Poston Butte Broncos
The Seton Catholic Sentinels won the last time they faced the Poston Butte Broncos, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Seton Catholic put the hurt on Poston Butte with a sharp 59-38 victory. Given Seton Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Poston Butte is ranked 165th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Padilla, who scored 13 points. Julian Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 3 steals.
Seton Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Poston Butte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Seton Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Poston Butte won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Apache Junction focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Thursday.
