Softball Recap: Arnold Finds Playoff Glory Versus Baker County

It's playoff time, and Arnold had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Baker County Wildcats 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marlins.

The result came thanks to Bre Clark's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Arnold's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hayley Sexton, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Arnold's record is now 19-8. As for Baker County, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-5.

As of now, neither Arnold nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
