Benedictine is 2-7 against the Wildcats since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Benedictine Bengals will look to defend their home court against the St. Ignatius Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Benedictine: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Wildcats have snatched up six consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Damone Darmond, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Bryce Meitin, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, St. Ignatius can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. Everything went their way against Avon as St. Ignatius made off with a 76-52 victory. Given St. Ignatius' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Eagles are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
