Softball Recap: St. Marys Takes a Loss

St. Marys fell victim to Silver Lake and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 9-0. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

St. Marys' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Silver Lake, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Marys will venture away from home to take on Santa Fe Trail at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Silver Lake, they will head out on the road to square off against Sabetha at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
