Berean Academy is 8-1 against Oakwood Christian since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Berean Academy Eagle will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oakwood Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Berean Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Last Friday, Berean Academy beat Temple Baptist Academy 62-53.
Among those leading the charge was Austen Harvey, who scored 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Berean Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Colton Ware, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Oakwood Christian was the victim of a tough 54-34 defeat at the hands of LaFayette on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Oakwood Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while LaFayette is ranked 174th).
Berean Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Oakwood Christian, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Berean Academy barely slipped by Oakwood Christian in their previous matchup back in January, winning 39-38. Will Berean Academy repeat their success, or does Oakwood Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
