Volleyball Recap: Vermillion Takes a Loss

Vermillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parker/Marion Pheasants.

Vermillion took Parker/Marion into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 20-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Mara Mohr was a one-woman wrecking crew For Parker/Marion. as she had 21 assists and 15 digs. That's the most assists Mohr has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Sarah Gullikson, who had 17 digs.

Vermillion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Parker/Marion, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Vermillion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Elk Point-Jefferson on the 28th. Parker/Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
