Carmel has gone 7-2 against Ben Davis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Carmel Greyhounds will take on the Ben Davis Giants at 7:30 p.m. Ben Davis took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Carmel, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Carmel turned things around against Cathedral on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Fighting Irish out 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Greyhounds have posted since December 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ben Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 44-31 to Westfield. The Giants were down 35-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Carmel will need focus on slowing down Makenzie Martin, one of several Ben Davis players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points and three steals. That's the most points Martin has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shania Curry, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Ben Davis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive contests.

Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Ben Davis, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Carmel beat Ben Davis 70-61 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carmel since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
