Football Game Preview: Hayden Wildcats vs. Ramsay Rams + How To Watch

Hayden is 0-3 against Ramsay since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Hayden has given up an average of 44.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hayden managed to slip by West Point the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats were dealt a 42-12 defeat at the hands of the Warriors on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ramsay). They claimed a resounding 56-26 victory over Minor. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Ramsay had a senior duo take command as Jordan Smith rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry and Jayden Martin rushed for 101 yards and three scores. Martin is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Pierce Deuce Alexander, who picked up 89 receiving yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ramsay proved: they limited Minor to a paltry 1.9 yards per carry. The Rams' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.53 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 10.2 on average over their last five games.

The victory got Ramsay back to even at 3-3. As for Hayden, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
