Soccer Recap: Peoria Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Peoria was not quite Westview's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westview Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

Peoria's goal came courtesy of Brandon Rincon, who's now up to nine this season.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Westview, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Peoria take on the Mesquite at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Peoria is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. Westview and Empire will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. Empire will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Westview surely won't give up without a fight.
