Basketball Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

Evergreen and Patrick Henry squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Evergreen had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 60-17 loss at the hands of the Patrick Henry Patriots. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Patrick Henry was led to victory by Carys Crossland and Ada Christman. Crossland went 10-for-20 to rack up 25 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Christman dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Christman is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kasey Nelson, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 11 points.

Evergreen's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Patrick Henry, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-1.

Evergreen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patrick Henry, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Ottawa Hills at 2:00 p.m. Ottawa Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Patrick Henry surely won't give up without a fight.
