Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Annapolis

There's no place like home for Annapolis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Crestwood Chargers on Thursday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won three in a row.

Alexis Mousseau 2028 made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mousseau 2028 was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Kaelyn Clement 2025 was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 4 RBI per game. Lexi Harleton 2026 was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Annapolis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .852. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Annapolis pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Crestwood, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Annapolis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
